Description
This is a brand new pair of reproduction door jamb switches with new rubber boot covers. These door jamb switches & boots will fit 1963, 1964, & 1965 Buick Riviera models.
These switches are better then the originals (they have a much stronger internal contact).
In the pictures you will see a “Y” splitter, you will plug this into one side of the switch and then plug 2 of the 3 wires from your car into the “Y” splitter. The other wire from you car you can plug into the other terminal on the switch (it does not matter which wires goes where). This “Y” splitter I made up has diodes in it so that it will not back feed one of the three lighting circuits that the door jamb switch controls (this not your ordinary splitter). With this pair of switches, I have added a ground wire onto the housing with a ring terminal on the other end so that you can ground the switch to the body. I have included a self tapping screw to install the ground wire. I added the ground wire since one of the main problems with these switches is the housing of the switch making a good ground to the body of the car. The wire and / or connector color may differ.
