Description

This is a brand new complete walnut veneer wood door panel and console trim kit. This is the correct kit for 1965 Buick Riviera models. This is the correct kit for cars with standard interior (square trim piece on front door panels only). If you need a deluxe interior kit, please see my other listings as I do have those listed for sale as well. This is a very nice complete kit. These kits are in stock and ready to ship! All of these pieces will be shipped flat.

All of the walnut veneer was laser cut and professionally finished in a spray booth at high end custom cabinetry shop.

A black vinyl radio bezel piece is also included (both air conditioned and non air conditioned version are included).

The 10th picture shows the dash trim of the 1965 Riviera on the bottom compared to the new vinyl radio bezel piece on the top (the grain and texture is very close).

The last 2 pictures of the listing show different examples of the walnut wood veneer (different color variations, grain, and knots etc.)

Wood Grain Disclaimer:

All wood grain console pieces are grain matched; meaning that the console pieces were cut out of the same piece, so they are fluid. This applies to the door panels as well. The door panels are also book matched to each other (mirror images from left to right side). Wood is a natural resource; therefore, pieces may vary in color, texture and grain. Wood characteristics naturally occurring such as variations in color, grain, mineral streaks and knots are NOT considered defects. (Knots are infrequent due to the use quarter sawn walnut). The purpose of the photos shown are to display the type of product being sold, not to show an exact replica. NO two console kits NOR door panel kits will EVER look the same as the wood grain comes from real trees and NO two trees are the same.

Fitment / Size Disclaimer:

Wood by nature will expand and contract as it adjusts to changes in humidity and temperature. This is the best fitment due to variations in the size of the original metal pieces. We decided on the size of these pieces since we found that there can be slightly variation in the size of the console trim/radio bezel chrome piece. Also, some customers are having these pieces re-chromed which can also slightly change the size. Lastly the size difference is extremely small. For example, when attaching the console and door pieces, please try to center the piece top to bottom and left to right. When installed centered in both directions, any size variations will be kept to a minimum.

Attaching / Gluing Disclaimer:

We do not provide glue as we have found certain customers / interior or upholstery shops prefer to use specific products. When attaching all of these new pieces you need to make sure all of the original wood is completely removed, and the surfaces are prepped correctly. For example, all old glue must be completely removed, etc. Sanding or scuffing the metal piece for the console trim / radio bezel is also recommended.

Vinyl Disclaimer – (for 65 Riviera radio bezels):

The vinyl chosen for the radio bezel was carefully selected as we thought it was best to try and match the grain / texture of the 1965 Rivera black specific dash pieces (on either side of the radio bezel).
